About Your Loft Manager and Coordinator
John Steinbrenner (L) and Steve Miner (R)
John Steinbrenner Owner an Son of Ron
Steinbrenner and Owner/Loft Manager of Triple Crown Classic 2019 At the young age
of 5 years old (51 yrs ago) John Steinbrenner was introduced to
pigeons by his father the late Ronald Steinbrenner (Triple Crown
Classic) of whom was well known in the pigeon world. John grew up
right alongside his father and many other past flyer raising and
flying pigeons and learning everything he knows today about pigeons.
John became loft manager of the San Diego Classic in which his
father was one of several great flyers who started the longest
running one loft race in the country and John continued alongside
Mike McConnell (Bar Loft) of whom was also one of the mentors in
Johns life. John flew his own team in backyard racing with Up the
Middle loft which was all of Bar Lofts birds. In 1988 (31yrs
ago) John went to support his father with the starting of the Triple
Crown Classic in which he followed in the shadows of his father and
played an important part of the Triple Crown Classic as his
father’s right hand man. Johns passion for pigeons and the sport
and all the GREAT advice that he has received throughout his years
from many other GREAT flyers he credits, Mike McConnell, Steve
Miner, Amad, Timmerman and so many others is one reason John is a
“NATURAL “ when it comes to pigeons (as his father once said).

partnership of Steve Miner and Frank Lopez the Triple Crown Classic,
the toughest one loft race in the country. John has his
